
Larry Smith
Sandan – Dojo Cho
Sensei Larry Smith has studied martial arts for over 40 years. During a 21-year military career, he trained in various martial arts including jujitsu, karate, taekwondo, and boxing. Smith Sensei currently holds the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in Yoseikan-based Aikido and is licensed as an Advanced-Level Instructor (Shidoin) with the USAMA. Smith Sensei is also ranked as a 1st Dan in Hapkido with the Korean Hapkido Federation.

Mike Morris
Sandan – Founder/Lead Children’s Program – Senior Adult Class Instructor
Sensei Mike Morris has studied martial arts since 1971. He studied with Dr. Glenn Pack and Ms. Pat Saiz in Tuscaloosa while at the University of Alabama starting in 1981. He earned his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Yoseikan Budo in 1992. Morris Sensei then earned his Nidan in 1995, and was promoted to Sandan in 2017 and is a licensed Advanced-Level Instructor, (Shidoin). Morris Sensei is the founder and Chief Instructor of the children’s program at Madison Defensive Arts and the senior assistant instructor for the adult classes.

Lee Coduti
Nidan – Senior Children’s Program Assistant Instructor – Adult Class Instructor
Sensei Leonardo Coduti has studied martial arts for over 12 years, and currently holds the rank of Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Yoseikan-based Aikido. He is licensed as an Intermediate-Level Instructor (Fuku Shidoin) with the USAMA.

Natalie Petrucka
Nidan – Adult Class Assistant Instructor
Sensei Natalie Petrucka has studied martial arts for over 10 years and currently holds the rank of Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Yoseikan-based Aikido. She is licensed as an Intermediate-Level Instructor (Fuku Shidoin) with the USAMA.
